IoS is clean, controlled, totally Mac. Apple have control of the hardware, operating system, API’s and are in a position to control application design - Result, smooth and intuitive, just works.

Android is much more like windows (actually much more like the wild and crazy days of MSDOS in the 80’s when Microsoft had an OS and not much more and there was no real consolidation in the hardware space. Result, multiple versions, applications which just are different, interface inconsistency, differing hardware.

Important to remember that if the analogy holds, Android will come out with lower prices, greater competition, more innovation until such time as vendor consolidation sets in …
